Dragons breath of fire,
Scorching earth, sand and man.
The menace thunders,
Fighting a battle of resolve.
Who is to say one is righter than the other?
Who is to judge and mete out judgement?
There are no winners in bloodbaths,
There is no glory in battle.
The fallen a statistic, remembered occasionally, never fully understood.
The fight never fully justified,
As most actions of Man usually are.
A competition of ideologies,
Paid for in blood and lives.
Forefathers that paid the price for a future that descendants don't give thanks for.
There are no winners in a war,
Only statistics,
A mark on history.
